Mac Miller :)
This week I have chosen another artist that is new to me. Mac Miller is a white rapper and I find him very entertaining. I heard his music for the first time when I was riding in Megan's car. She was picking a song from her iPod and she chose Knock Knock. I was hooked as soon as I heard him start rapping. His lyrics amuse me and his music videos are cool. I love that he chose putting a thumb in the air to be his symbol. It is such a nerdy thing to pick. I was even more suprised since he is a rapper. I love that my friends and I share our music, because then I never run out of new things to listen to. :)

Senses Fail :)
Senses Fail is a post-hardcore band that originated in New Jersey. The group currently has five albums. They were popular on the internet after the release of their first album. After that they started to play in famous tours, one of them being the Warped Tour. I love the sound of their music. One of my favorite songs by them is called One Eight Seven. I used to listen to it all the time when I was feeling down. It has always just appealed to me for some reason. The band currently has five members, all of them males. Their musical genres include post-hardcore, alternative rock, pop punk, melodic hardcore, and emo.

Cash Cash :)
Roseland, New Jersey is where the band originated. I love that all of the members of the band have unique and cool sounding names. The band is made up of Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alexander Luke Makhlouf, Sam Frisch, and Anthony Villacari. They have played in Warped Tour, which is something that I have always wanted to go to. I am convinced that I will one of these days! They have toured with Family Force 5 and Breathe Carolina, both of which I also love. I love the pop and electronic feel that some of their songs feel. Their music in general is just the kind that makes me want to sing along. I have liked all of their music that I have listened too. It also doesn't hurt that the members of the band are pretty good looking. :)

Marianas Trench :)
Marianas Trench is a Canadian pop/rock/emo band. The group is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. Queen, Foo Fighters, The Beach Boys, and Ben Folds Five are a few of their musical influences. Mike Ayley is the bass guitarist and does backing vocals. Ian Casselman plays the drums and does backing vocals. Josh Ramsay does the lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano, and programming. Matt Webb is the lead guitarist, does backing vocals, plays piano, and does programming. Their songs have appeared on several popular T.V. shows. It has even been on one of my personal favorites, which is Degrassi. I don't remember the first time I heard one of their songs but I do know that after the first one I was hooked.

Faber Drive
This group was discovered by a member of Nickleback and consists of four members. Their sound is a mixture of pop and punk and they come from Mission, British Columbia. Dave Faber is the lead vocalist of the group and plays the rhythm guitar. Jeremy Liddle plays bass and does backing vocals. Jordan Pritchett plays lead guitar and also does backing vocals. Andrew Stricko is on drums and does backing vocals. I think that the first time I heard them was when I was searching through random YouTube videos looking for new music. I love the sound and style that the band has. Their music is really good. My favorite song by them is You and I Tonight. The group even played on one of my favorite t.v. shows! It was awesome because they were playing and I could sing along. My Mom was giving me this look because she had never heard of them and I was sitting there singing every word.

VersaEmerge
VersaEmerge is an alternative rock group that originated in Florida. The first time I ever heard them was when I was watching one of my favorite t.v. shows, World of Jenks. They used the term versa, coming from vice versa, meaning opposite. They took emerge meaning to rise up. Then they combined the two to become VersaEmerge. I love their sound and now have several of their songs on my playlist. It was cool getting to see into the type of life the group members lead when I was watching them on t.v. I am really glad I watched that particular episode or I may have never heard them. Their lyrics and music choice are awesome. I think it would be awesome to be able to go and see them play live someday. They play at tons of different tours and I would love to go see them.

Skillet
This band currently consists of three members since their fourth member recently left the group. They are a Christian rock band that was formed in Memphis, Tennessee. Current members are lead vocalist and bass player John Cooper, keyboard and rhythm guitar player Korey Cooper, and drummer and vocalist Jen Ledger. It only took one song for me to get interested in this group. The first time that I heard one of the band's songs was in my friend Katie's truck. I'm usually not as in to stuff like Christian rock but I really like the sound that Skillet has. I also think that their songs have really good lyrics. The lyric and music combo of Comatose makes it my favorite song by them. I have a pretty good amount of their music on my iPod now. I also used one of their songs for a Sociology assignment where we had to pick out a song with lyrics that describes our personality.
